Her mom replied, “That’s up to you, but keep in mind that actions speak louder than words.” Martine sprang into action. Instead of a card or a phone call, she asked to spend the day at her grandmother’s. There, Martine fixed her grandmother lunch and tidied up the house. Then the two spent the afternoon talking and watching movies together. It meant a lot to both Martine and her grandmother.
