The difference of this with bipolar i is that it does accompany depression but the person who has this does not suffer often and the person's mood is highly elevated compared to the bipolar ii. Major depressive disorder, in the other hand, is when the person only experience depression lasting on a week and so, and this usually occurs to the person who has it.
