Explain how the case of miranda v. arizona exemplifies the different steps of the state court system.

I think the Supreme Court made a thorough study in his case Miranda v. Arizona, as well as the other cases which have made similar process of getting information; Vignera v. New York, Westover v. United States,California v. Stewart. All made a violation on the fifth amendment. The Supreme Court did not accept the following testimony of Miranda where he made self-incrimination, compelled to expose himself because of law enforcers' interrogation. This affected the prior decisions on him. 

The Supreme Court did not just followed what has been decided. But made its own overview of the case. They also looked into the cased of the accused of there was any violation done to them, thus created balance on both sides.
