Artificial reefs are made of solid, sturdy objects that humans place on otherwise empty ocean floors. like natural reefs, these provide places for marine life to take shelter, hide, and reproduce. several states in north america have created artificial reefs off their shores, even though reefs do not naturally exist in most of those areas. artificial reefs provide excellent opportunities for fishing and diving. how do artificial reefs change their local environment?
