Parenting involves close physical contact with a child, while parenting involves engaging the child from some distance, using toys, food, and communication instead of physical contact.

Proximal;distal. These are two alternative parenting strategies.Distal parenting is prevalent among parents who are living in urban areas with  high education attainment. While, proximal parenting is commonly practiced by low income bracket families living in rural areas which handles child rearing  with close physical contact.
