georgia's government wanted more land. in 1795 land companies bought about 50 million acres of land for $500,000 which is known as the yazoo land fraud. the head of the family got 200 acres of land max a family could get is 1,000 acres this is known as the headright system. because of the yazoo land fraud, georgia could no longer go by the headright system. land won in the lotteries varied from 50 to 500 acres. so this is how the impact of land policies was pursued by georgia.
