Why was there a flourishing of literature during the Tang and Song Dynasties?

During the Tang (618-906) and Song (960-1279) Dynasties, literature, and especially poetry flourished. One of the reasons that literature from this period is celebrated is because it was one of the subjects emphasized in the civil service exams.

nowadays, 93% of the arab population is muslim, which at the same time is subdivided in sects including the sunni, zaini, alawi, shia. the remaining 7% is composed mainly of christians.
