What is the difference between communism and socalism?

The main difference is that socialism is compatible with democracy and liberty, whereas Communism involves creating an 'equal society' through an authoritarian state, which denies basic liberties (Basickly, in communism everything belongs to the state whereas social is the opposite, everything is owned by the people
