Mercury Theatre on the Air was not that popular of a show (its lack of commercial sponsors was why the show could go on so long without any breaks). Orson Welles knew that the most popular show in the same time slot, NBCâs Chase and Sanborn Hour, finished up its first comedy skit after about 15 minutes. Many âchannel surfersâ would have been tuning into CBS just as reports from Groverâs Mill told of aliens coming out of the cylinder. Do you think Welles timed the show this way on purpose or was this just coincidence? Defend your answer.

Chris, a master at office gossip and innuendo, says, "we know we have a corporate spy someplace in the organization, probably on the management team itself. there is no evidence that it is audrey. in fact, she's too clean, if you know what i mean. somebody should fire audrey; she's got to be the spy." by making this argument chris is actually engaging in (a) an appeal to emotion fallacy (b) a straw man fallacy (c) an appeal to ignorance fallacy (d) circular reasoning (e) an appeal to the mob fallacy

Which best explains why the supreme courtâs decision in plessy v. ferguson was unconstitutional? the supreme courtâs ruling allowed states to deny equal protection to any person within its jurisdiction. since the 14th amendment did not make concessions for people born outside the us, the supreme courtâs decision could not be applied. the supreme courtâs decision gave individual states the freedom to make their own laws in relation to non-whites. since segregation laws did not provide equal protections or liberties to non-whites, the ruling was not consistent with the 14th amendment.
