Growing up many of us were raised to believe that kids (subordinates) should do what they are told when they are told to do it without questioning authority. This has affected my leadership and even parenting in that I have not always felt the need to explain the why. I thought that would teach better discipline. Think about your own childhood. Some of you were raised similar and some were not. With examples explain how this philosophy can affect relationships and productivity over time.
