Why kathmandu is so crowded​

Kathmandu is the oldest and capital city of Nepal. It is a valley that lies in the mid-hills region of the country. Since past Kathmandu used to be a capital of different kingdoms like Gopal dynasty, Malla dynasty and so on. After Prithvi Narayan Shah united the country then he officially declared Katmandu as a capital of the country. The population density in Kathmandu is very high about 29,500 people living in per square kilometer. There are many reasons behind such a pressure of population, some of them are:-

Opportunity:- Being the capital of the country this place harbors a number of opportunity in most of the field like sports, arts, music, consultancy, politics, NGOs, INGOs, Projects, entrepreneurship, business and so on.

Infrastructure:- The only international airport of the country lies here. Most of the renowned hospitals, colleges, schools, historical monuments, projects, hotels are located here which adds to number of people residing here.

Administrative hub:- Kathmandu is also the administrative capital of the country. Supreme court, Parliamentary house, Ministries, Departments and all other important and high class office are located here and this all adds to number of people.

Facility and Security:- As compared to rest of the city of the country Kathmandu holds to a number of facility and a level of security. Facility regarding health, education and work add to attraction and a feeling of security surely increase the immigration rate.

Now after the country has finally entered into the federal system the country has been developed into 7 provinces with their respective capital cities. Hope, this system will finally work into level best to decentralize and develop each and every part of the country so that the population pressure in Kathmandu will surely fall and people will be attracted to live outside the valley.
