Mr. Lemon is a wealthy hat maker living in Boston, Massachusetts. Over the last few years he has built up a large fortune by selling hats in other states. Now some of those states are taxing his Massachusetts hats that are brought there to be sold. Mr. Lemon is upset because paying these new taxes means he has to raise the price of his hats in order to make a decent profit. course raising prices means that fewer people will buy his hats. Can the national government help Mr. Lemon? Why or why not?
