This meant the growth of population and size in cities. It also changed wealth, materials, and the distribution of populations

B. Industrialization in America negatively affected the growth of cities. Before the Industrial Revolution, more than eighty percent of people lived in rural areas. Industrialization brought more and more people to the cities. The population exceeded the cities carrying capacities, because the cities did not have enough resources to support the growing population. This led to the cities becoming dirty crowded. The machines required coal and the factories using the machines polluted the air and the water also became polluted, leading the populations in a downward spike.
