How did the cities and technology of the East affect Western Europe?

I just learnt it in Uae sst. Mostly the golden age of the Islamic era effected it. They came to the east and started looking . They experienced alot of things like the different cultures and way of living. They saw the innovations and then started working on it to make it better. So many things we think came from Europe did not like coffee.
