The Culture of the people of Punjab is supposed to be one of the oldest and richest cultures of the world which has a very great history and complexity. I would like to present before you the culture of Andhra along with the culture of Punjab , the similarity between the celebrations of the festivals of both the States. In Andhra Pradesh, we people celebrate Bhogi Festival. In Bhogi Festival early morning, we people gather the wood and put a wood fire in the open place and this is worshipped. Where as in North India particularly in Punjab, it is called Lohri Festival.
In the evening time, the people of the area gathered together and they put a very big bon-fire and the newly wedded couples along with the newly-born daughters and sons of those they take a pre Karma around the fire God as well as they distribute a variety of sweets on this particular day. It is celebrated in the evening hours in Punjab, Where it is celebrated in the early morning hours in Andhra Pradesh.
Yes, there are so many similarities between Andhra Pradesh and Punjab States and they both celebrate several festivals together.
