Present condition of corruption in Nepal

Worland annually compiled a ranking of countries based on their corruption perception Index. The one that rank the top is considered less corrupt and the ones that rank on the bottom is considered to be more corrupt.

Between rank 1 - 179, Nepal currently held the 130th position. Marking it as one of the country with high level of corruption.

Nepal is currently held the status as a democratic country, but the influence of former nobles that used to rule over Nepal still persist. They control large portion of government seats and  resources in Nepal. which left the people with barely any opportunity to advance.

Foreign Investors felt reluctant to put capital injection into Nepal due to the malpractice conducted by the government. Companies who won the projects in Nepal tend to be the one that provided the government with backdoor payment rather than those who have genuine interest to establish a proper business relation.
