How did Asoka's rule promote Buddhism? No google answers PLEASE I am not trying to get an F because of Plagiarize

They promoted Buddhism because Siddhartha Gautama created Buddhism and he spread it to the neighboring country's. But the Ashoka's civilization wasn't until later, they learned it from the civilization before them.
