How could a rise in temperature have both a positive and negative affect on agriculture?

Plants that need the warmer climates can establish more and longer bringing better agricultural products but the negative is that other plants could suffer from the rise as the plants could dry out and increase fire risk that will destroy the plants or just die from dehydration.
