(1)Make the other person apart of y'all friend circle. That way there will be no 3rd wheeling. And all of y'all will get along. If you are jealous don't let it be known. Being jealous and mean COULD effect your friendship with your best friend.

(2) Make it clear in a nice way to your best friend how you feel about her/him hanging out with the other new friend.

And if your friend is sad make them happy. You could tell them how important they are to you or you could get them something that they like food, candy drink etc. Or just make them laugh.
