Several political causes contributed to the American Revolution. Parliament passed acts that disturbed the colonists. These acts included the Blank, which required the colonists to provide food and shelter to the soldiers stationed in the colonies. Parliament also passed the Writs of Assistance, which allowed British officials to Blank the colonists’ Blank without prior notice.
