Yellowstone National Park, the oldest national park in the world, is home to many natural wonders. It has more geysers and hot springs than any other area of the world. Grand Prismatic Spring is the
largest hot spring in the park. It is a pool with a deep blue center surrounded by pale blue rings. Old
Faithful, the most famous geyser in the park, erupts on average every 76 minutes. Old Faithful has
not missed an eruption in over 80 years. When it erupts, the geyser sends a stream of boiling water
more than 100 feet into the air. At Mammoth Hot Springs, gently flowing waters form beautifully
colored terraces. Morning Glory Pool, one of the park's most beautiful hot pools, has the shape and
coloring of a morning-glory flower.
