One effect of Alexander the Great’s empire was the development of Hellenistic culture. Hellenistic means “Greek-like.” Greek culture mixed with local cultures like Persian, Jewish, Egyptian, Indian, and Turkish. Unique artistic styles, words, and foods developed.
