Mr.S was considered a suspect also because he gave the exact same statement given by another person in the alleged disappearance and murder of 18 year old Hae Min Lee.

In the drama titled, The Case against Adnan Syed, a witness named Mr. S had given his statement concerning the murder of an 18 year old girl named Hae Min Lee:"I noticed the earth had been disturbed, like someone digging and then I saw some hair,partially covered in dirt (approx 25 to 30 ft from the

road). Walked over to body and walked around the body and saw what looked like a foot. Rest of body was covered in dirt and leaves". Another witness named Jenn gave her statement as thus, "what I had heard was that that  there found a foot in Leakin Park. Somebody had found a foot sticking up and out in Leakin Park um and I you know, I didn’t even think that it was Hae’s body at all. I mean dead bodies always get dumped in Leakin Park but you hear about it all the time. Um so I happened to mention something to (name redacted). We were in her car and Josh was in the car. Josh is (name redacted)’s boyfriend. He oh and he and I said to (name redacted), I said,”yo, did you hear anything about that body” and um he’s like um, she was like, she’s like “yeah my mom found a body at the gate this morning when she unlocked it.” Her mom works at inaudible. It’s in Leakin Park. And I said to (name redacted) I was like, I was like “you know what else.” And I don’t know whether (name redacted) or Josh had mentioned that the bod was strangled. Um and I was like if it was strangled I was like I bet you it was her body. I bet you they found Hae".

With the one bolded, police had taken the two statements at different times so how did Jenn give the exact same statement indicating that "someone had found a foot" because that info wasn't released by the police and that points to the fact that Mr.S might the murderer they were looking for.
