D) THE CARTOON IS SHOWING THE MAN AS A DEMAGOGUE.

A demagogue is said to be a person (orator or political leader) who gains power and popularity by arousing the emotions, passions, and prejudices of people. 

 The person in the cartoon may be holding the cross but the fact that the cross has a tag that say it's gold means that he means to sell it for his own gain w/o thinking about its importance just as he has trampled on the Bible.
