Describe how Mexican Americans fought for equality and opportunity during the Progressive Era.

African - Americans - They were discriminated against in society. For example, they were not allowed to buy houses , eat in restaurants, send their kids to the same school as the whites, there were even separate waiting rooms to sit as they could not mix with whites. They were also not allowed to vote.

2. Mexican - Americans - They were also barely tolerated. Their rights were often overlooked and they had to live in rural areas and in poverty. They were forced to live in neighborhoods called barrios and were not tolerated by the whites for fear that they may have to lose their jobs and culture to the immigrated Mexican-americans

3. Women - In the 15th amendment, women got the right to vote, but the right of women was not considered. They were dependent on their husbands and their opinions did not matter much in  society. Their primary task was cooking and looking  after their husband and children.

well it depends i think people around the world are coming around to gay marriage. but if you are talking abortion then wow, so much to talk about. such as men thinking they have the right to choose if women can, the fact there are health concerns if the women can't get one, and many more arguments to discuss. so i would definitely say abortion would be a much more interesting topic.
