The great basin includes most of states of United States like Nevada, Utah, California, Idaho and Oregon.

Explanation:

Great basin is actually made up of several small basins. The Great basin is a geographical area between the Sierra Nevada mountains on the west, the Rocky Mountains on the East and the Snake River on the North and the Sonoran Deserts to the south. About 90% of the state of Nevada is in the Great Basin.

Agriculture was not practiced in the Great Basin as it is extremely dry region  although it was practiced in adjacent areas. The area fall under the category of desert so it requires good amount water supply from under ground level or artesian well to irrigate the plots of cultivation.
