Several transfers of energy must occur to produce this electrical energy. First, an uneven transfer of energy to Earth's atmosphere produces wind energy. As the wind rotates the blades of a turbine, energy is transferred to the turbine. This transferred energy then turns generators inside the turbine to produce electrical energy.
