Family is said to be the root cause of social inequality as it plays an integral part transfer of power property and privilege.

In a family only the sound person or the senior member of the family is entitled to have the first rights over power, property and privilege.Even though it is said that all have equal share in a family and will enjoy the rights in equal proportions.But it is not the case when it comes to making decisions, of whatever level, e.g. a child will not decide the finances of the house or it might not have a say in the matters of household. Only the senior member keeps the property , makes the decisions, etc. A girl child after her marriage does not get a right in family's ancestrol unless she is gfited the same out of love and compassion.

The above points describe about the social inequalities that happen in the family itself and not the society at large.

However, the above points do not lead to social injustice as a family member might not be able to possess such mindset or sound mind.
