Design refers to prison construction design that complies with americans with disabilities act (ada) requirements and that accommodates all inmate needs, in a universal fashion, regardless of how varied the needs may be from inmate to inmate.

Universal design is a design that can be used by all people regardless of their gender age size ability disability. It is the composition of the environment that is used to understand the great extent to which all cultures live together. The environment of people is designed in terms so all people can use it. This design has not limit that only some particular or minority population can be used this design It is the basic design used to access a good environment for all people for their benefits. It is called universal design because it accesses all the needs of people through the design.
