In China, women were considered to be the subordinate to men and during nineteenth century, women started take up a leadership role in home and familial affairs. In olden days Chinese women were repressed by immobilizing them by binding their foot together so that they remain at home and work for the welfare of the family. But gradually, these age old traditions vanished and now the modern Chinese women assumed the role of CEO and major business tycoons while there are women who chose the conventional life style. Women in Japan dominated the house hold and a man used to earn income for the family.  Great morals and values are instilled from their childhood. Confucianism intended women to be assisting men and female subservience considered to be natural and in born.  But as times passed, Japanese women started to shift their attitude from child bearing and familial welfare to career based women and at present Japan is the only country which has less population every year.
