The colonists were persuaded to stop by Governor Berkeley when they wanted to take over their land. When this was taking place, it was also noted that in New England colonies, a war was taking place.The natives tried to stop the colonists from taking their land and this brought about tension. The colonists destroyed their lands and this led to war.
