Patriots are those who fight to win the rights of civilians who are not treated well by the invaders. Or other definitions are those who defend civilians from invaders and all related to colonialism.

The methods they use vary, they can use resistance to the invaders, put forward people's aspirations to uphold justice, boycott the invaders, participate in government politics, and similar struggles.

Of course, many ethical considerations are thought by the patriots before they take their actions.
