Web project 1: privacy concerns privacy on the internet has become a hot topic to discuss in many areas. the use of databases has increased the general public’s concern over privacy. how much of your information is stored on a database, and is that information being shared? the washington post published an article in june of 2013 discussing the privacy concern of parents, educators, and state officials about a gates foundation funded project that stores personal information about millions of students in a $100 million database that cannot guarantee complete security. discuss implications this could have on a student’s privacy. research and discuss one other area in which databases have caused consumers to be concerned about their privacy. such areas include medical information, credit card information, children and internet usage, and so on.
