Why is the cornell method a more effective note-taking method than the mapping, charting, and outlining methods when reading textbook material? students are able to take more thorough notes using the cornell method. the cornell method students make visual connections to the material. maps, charts, and outlines do not allow students to sort and categorize information. maps, charts, and outlines are only used to take notes for classroom lectures.
