How does our government practice federalism

The United States government practices federalism by dividing powers and responsibilities between the state and the central governments.

The Constitution of the "United States of America" provides for the division of powers between the states and the federal government.

The states get to exercise powers issued to them by the constitution and the federal government has a dominant say in the issues pertaining to those not mentioned in the list of the state powers.
