What do we take for granted in the united states’ democracy?

We as Americans are given rights by the constitution.

One being the right to vote. There are many people who are not registered to vote or simply choose not to. This isn't just about voting for the president. It's being involved in voting for the mayor in your area or the governor of you state etc.
