The country in ancient times that had a very spiritual influence on China was India. This is largely because of the Buddhism. The Buddhism developed in India, and it became one of the largest religions/teachings in the Indian subcontinent. Over time, through the trade routes, the Buddhism managed to reach China. The Chinese were very fond of the Buddhism, as it seemed as a very good religion/teaching, so they started to to adopt it. As the was passing by, the Buddhism became the dominant religion/teaching in China, while at the same it was losing its popularity in its birthplace India.
