Why would native animals like the new zealand kiwi have a better chance at survival than invasive species (newly introduced species)

Well, they're already native to the area (referring to the New Zealand Kiwi), so of course they'd have a better chance at survival because they're already adapted to the place. Invasive species would also have to adapt to the area, and that isn't so much of an easy process. Hope this helps!
