Just like respecting yourself, you should be able to respect others. When one person shows respect for another, it means that the person values you. Self respect is important because it demonstrates your moral nerve, willingness to accept any responsibility and fighting for your own values and beliefs. Respect for others is important because it shows how much you value that someone. It is the key to a positive relationship with someone.
