Both language and culture reflect culture. For Sherzer, culture is the exchange of behavior among individuals. The culture functions with the help of language and communication. Language shows individual's membership and his relationship in the group. Language is shaped by the culture and the latter is shaped by the language accordingly. From this point of view, culture is both liberating and constraining. The possibilities and impossibilities of the meanings are the mere examples of this latter concept.
