The perspective that rings most true to me is what rev. dr. martin luther king, jr said about 'sleeping through a revolution' as well as choosing non-violence. i believe that problems can be solved without violence, and with peace. i do believe that history repeats itself, because as the article 'the last americans' showed that natural resources are not being taken care of and our environment is being ruined. a historical reference i would use to describe the state of the world today would be similar to the great depression. not the lack of food, per say, (especially in our country) but the natural resources being depleted, and the that other countries need.
