If an automatic machine in a manufacturing process is operating correctly, it produces parts that have a mean length of 117cm and a standard deviation of 5.2cm. We can assume that the lengths of the parts are normally distributed. Mean length μ – 117cm std σ-5.2 cm

c. Suppose that we were unwilling to assume that the lengths of the parts were normally distributed. Could we still answer question b? If not, what would we need to change in order for us to be able to answer that question?
