In 35 minutes, it will be noon.
First of all, we must know that noon is 12:00.
Then, we can add 55 minutes to 10:30 which gets us 10:85, which is actually 11:25. (There are sixty minutes in an hour.)  From there we can do one of two things: see what can be added to 11:25 to get to 12:00, or subtract 11:25 from 12:00, which is what I did. 
We can ignore the hour and make 12:00 equal to 60 (minutes after 11:00) and then subtract 60-25. 
60-25=35, so we know in 35 minutes it will be noon.
