Although there were many inventors who also targeted to make the light bulb, it was Thomas Edison who was successful enough to discover a "carbonized bamboo filament" which he used in his light bulb. This allowed his light bulb to burn the longest.

Thomas Edison's invention pioneered people's "nightlife." It allowed people to see even in the dark, thus allowing them to enjoy the world at night. It also lessened the crimes being committed in the past and until today. People also started becoming more productive, for they can already extend working until night. It also aids people when it comes to traveling at night, for it helps them navigate the roads and the places they're passing through.
