What happens to the temperature of a substance while it is changing state

When a substance is changing state, its temperature stays constant. this is because the energy supplied to the substance is used to increase/decrease the kinetic energy of particles of the substance, causing the state change to occur. hence, the energy supplied to the substance is used for state change rather than increasing the temperature of the substance. 

Gas will most likely  fill the container 

They like garbage and they hunt during the night.
