Aspherical inflated balloon is submerged in a pool of water. if it is further inflated so that its radius doubles, how is the buoyant force affected?

The buoyant force on a submerged object depends on the object's volume, because that's how much water it displaces.

When you double the radius of a sphere, its volume is multiplied by 8. So if the balloon is kept completely submerged, the buoyant force on it is also 8 times as great as it used to be.

If one were to put the y value into the equation, they could find out what x is for a certain value of y.  putting in the value of y (1), we get the equation: 1=4x-12=4xx=0.5this means that the value of x when why is 1 is x=0.5
