Even when the body remains stationary the kinesthetic system of the body remains active.

The human beings posses specialized three types of neurons that are responsible for touch, stretching and helps in maintaining the body movement and position.

The first type of neuron is the pacinian corpuscles, it can be found in the fatty tissues. It is responsible for pressure. The second class of neuron surrounds the internal organs and the third class is associated with tendons, muscles and joints.
