Why is the earth's magnetic field important to being able to have life on earth? a) planets use energy from the magnetic field to do photosynthesis. b) without the magnetic field people would float away from the earth. c) the field holds iron on earth so people do not become anemic. d) it protects the earth from solar winds which contain particles which would destroy the atmosphere and end life on earth.
