a)Plane mirror produce virtual ,errect and enlarge image. concave mirrors produce real , inverted and small image. convex mirrors produce virtual ,errect and diminished images .

b)In torches, the source of light is placed at the focus of the concave mirror to obtain a parallel beam of light. In projector lamps, the source of light is placed at the centre of curvature of the concave mirror. In floodlights, the source of light is placed just beyond the centre of curvature of the concave mirror.

c)Convex mirrors are used as side mirrors of vehicles because convex mirrors show larger images smaller. The image of any object is made straight and small by a convex mirror

d)The rays from the Sun are parallel. When these rays fall on the concave mirror, they are converged to a single point on the focal plane of the mirror. ...
