Michael was late for work once again. He raced at his maximum running speed of 6 m/s toward the bus stop where the bus was already waiting. To his dismay, the
bus started to accelerate uniformly away from the bus stop at 1 m/s 2 just as Michael
was a mere 25 m away.
β€œOh no, not again!” he yelled out as he continued onward.

(a) Plot a position time graph of the motion of Michael and the bus on the same
set of axes. Plot from t = 0 s to t = 10 s.
(b) From the above graph, determine if Michael would catch up to the bus. If
not what was his closest approach?
(c) Now solve the problem algebraically.
